Can heroes be human?

It is my belief that if a hero doesn't have human qualities they are no longer a human they have become a god. For example, Hercules after completing the labors each time proving more and more how inhuman like he was until he completed the tasks and became a god. That's why I personally think that if a hero doesn't have some human characteristics they become more than a hero.
