Humanity vs. Evil

The problem with asking if humanity can conquer evil is everything is a matter of perspective. What is evil is all relative. For example, its 911's 11th anniversary from an Americans perspective Al Qaeda is the party at fault but Al Qaeda has a very different perspective. I guess it's more of a situational question. For example, in the book Night by Ellie Wisel it may seem like evil will be victorious even though we all know humanity will prevail. So in conclusion I believe it's all a matter of perspective.
